What is fen2img?

fen2img is a utility for making chess diagrams.

Features of fen2img

• Coded in Standard ML (SML), and ported to the MLton, Poly/ML and Moscow ML compilers.
• Reads in chess positions in FEN notation.
• Outputs diagrams in PPM image format.

Project Status

The latest version is fen2img 1.0 (release 20101022), released under version 2 of the GNU General Public Licence. The program is used to power the Gilith chess diagram generator.
